At the end of August, Betsy served her last day as Shelby's nanny....it was a very sad day. We wish her the best of luck in Austin and hopes she comes to visit often. Obviously, Shelby can't express how much she misses her, but I know whe does....we were very lucky to have her come to our house for 5 months and she was absolutely wonderful with Shelby! I miss getting my daily reports every day (Shelby ALWAYS had good days) and I really miss seeing photos that Betsy took every day.
We started Shelby in daycare on September 6 and she has had a total of seven full days. She goes to an in-home daycare about 3 miles from home. There are a maximum of 12 kids there at one time and at least 2 adults. Shelby is the youngest, but there are other babies and toddlers. She seems to love it. She has never cried when I left (although I bawled all the way to work the first day), and is always in a good mood when I pick her up. She seems to love watching all the kids and they seem to like her as well (what's not to like!). So far, we are pleased with our decision and looking forward to wehn she can really enjoy the activities.
