Over Labor Day weekend, Cale & I decided to take a long weekend and went to Florida for 4 days! It was just the 3 of us and no one was in Venice at this time. It was very relaxing and we had some quality family time. Shelby did great. On the way down there was a delay, so we didn't leave until after 10:00pm and didn't get to the condo until almost 3:00am! She slept from take off to landing and then the entire way in the car....it was great.
We went in the pool every day and Shelby learned "splash, splash, splash"...everytime we said that, she started to wave her arms, even if she wasn't in the pool. Very cute!
She went to the ocean for the first time as well. After a nice leisurely lunch in St. Armands Circle and shopping in Sarasota, we went to Siesta Key beach and put a life jacket on Shelby and she got her first salty taste of the ocean. She loved it though!
We went to a couple of restaurants and she was very well behaved. The flight home was a little rough, she whined for about an hour before she finally fell asleep....can't be perfect every time!
