I'll post a little update here as I've been trying to upload pictures of Shelby with Santa, but am having "technical" difficulties, hopefully I will figure them out. Well, Shelby is doing great, changing so fast. She is very vocal now and is saying mama and dada all the time. The rest is just babble to us, but I'm sure that she is saying something important.
She is doing a great job of terrorizing Schooner! She really does love him and laughs and giggles whenever he is near, but he won't go too close to her in fear of getting his beard pulled (he's experienced this a couple of times!). We are working on it with both of them though!! She is picking up his toys and trying to give them to him! It is do cute.
She is still into everything and is absolutely fearless. She will do head dives off our laps onto the floor (we catch her by the feet). She definitly doesn't know her own strength.
She is doing good with the "table food"...so much that she prefers it over baby food, but she doesn't eat a lot and it is really hard for me to gage what she is getting. Her favorites are toast, cheese, macaroni & cheese, oh, and don't forget the cheerios!!!!
She did have her first bite of ice cream though!! She loved that!!! We're trying new things all the time though!
We are still having sleep issues. We have overcome the "getting to sleep" issue, she does pretty well now, we can lay her down and she usually just rolls over right away and if she does cry, it is only for a couple of minutes. However, she is still waking up 2-3 times per night and sometimes keeping us up longer than we hoped. The hardest thing for us that she is doing is waking up at 5:00am...she used to be a 6-6:30 girl, but something is going on! Hopefully this is just a phase!
We are very excited for Shelby's first Christmas and then soon after, Shelby's first birthday....I can't believe how fast this year has gone by.
