A Double Date!
My best friend, Justine & I finally got our kids together one Sunday morning. They all go to daycare together and live within 3 miles, but we rarely get them together to play. Shelby & Anthony are 9 months apart and Samantha & Vincent are 1 WEEK apart!!!

A letter to my daughter on her FIRST birthday!
Dear Samantha,
I can’t believe that you are ONE!! This year has FLOWN by….it just seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital trying to keep you in longer, when you were fighting to get out. If I would’ve known then what I know now about your little personality, I would’ve completely understood….PATIENCE is not your virtue!!
You tried to come into this world nearly 2 months early!! You really put mommy in her place and letting me know who was in control by making me lay in a hospital bed for a whole week while I was trying to keep you in….but after you made your appearance at a whopping 5 ½ lbs 7 weeks early, I knew there was no stopping you!! The doctors predicted you would be out of the hospital in 3 weeks but you made it out in 2 weeks and you came home and our family was complete.
You have been such a laid back baby and I love how you “go with the flow”…until someone makes you mad….then watch out!!! I think I’m going to have my hands full with you as a toddler….you have always loved to smile and talk…I love to hear you babble!!!
You have grown so fast and are definitely not my little preemie anymore…people still can’t believe that you were ever a preemie!!
I love watching you grow and interact with everyone, especially your sister…you really are going to give her a run for her money….I get so many compliments on what a good baby you are and how relaxed you are!! I love this about you (along with you being a great sleeper)…
I love how you get so excited to see me when I pick you up and how you grab me by the hair on both sides and nearly suck the side of my cheek off!!! I love how you love to hear singing and you raise your hands when you hear “twinkle, twinkle” and clap along to other songs!
You have brought so much joy to my life and I can’t imagine it without you!!
Thanks again for making our family complete!! I love you more than life!!

Dressed in their Easter Best!
We had a really fun Easter this year!! We got up and Shelby looked for the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid for her and she found both her and Samantha's basket!! The Easter Bunny got Shelby a Happy Birthday wooden cake set since she is OBSESSED with singing Happy Birthday and having birthday parties for all of her dolls, animals, you name it!! We went out for brunch with Cale's family and then over to Papa & Mimi's to look for more eggs and hang out with Lance & Layla!! The weather was beautiful and it was a fun day!!!!

Happy Easter!
Yesterday we dyed Easter Eggs in the morning. Started out with a dozen hard boiled and I think we ended up with seven. Shelby was not gentle!!! Then we went to see the Easter Bunny. Last year, she was TERRIFIED of the Easter Bunny and wouldn't go near him, so this year, she did sit next to him....I think she was still scared but did sit next to him for a picture....Sam just wanted to know what the heck was going on.....

Happy 11 Months Samantha!
Tick tock...one more month and I will have a ONE year old!! Man, does time fly. Samantha is now crawling and is EVERY place....she likes to get into everything and if you try to redirect her, she will let you know she is NOT happy. She has quite the temper on her....I think we are in big trouble.
She also got her first ear infection this month....I actually took her in because of a bad cough that was not getting better and they checked her ears and sure enough, infection...yuck.
She is still trying more and more table foods and loves gerber cheese puffs, yogurt, avocado, and toast.
She also loves pulling her sisters hair!! Those two are definitely going to challenge me!!
