Happy 10 Months Samantha!

Wow! What a month it has been for Samantha!!!
She is 20lbs. 11 oz. at the doctor check up last week.  Her iron levels are going up with the vitamins so no drastic measures yet.  She also has FIVE teeth!! She is a teething machine!!!

She is soooo close to crawling, but not quite there yet.
But she waves bye bye (she moves her fingers in/out of her palm), does patty cake, claps, does “So BIG”, and every once in awhile will do peekabo!!
She is all over the place when placed on the floor and likes getting into everything.  She is already challenging her sister over things and I have a feeling we are in for some doozies of fights as they grow up…..Sam does adore Shelby though and the adoration is mutual.  I love watching them together.
Samantha also knows what “NO” means and knows how to use it.  For example, when she is done eating or doesn’t like something, she clamps her mouth shut and just shakes her head “no”….she can eat almost a whole jar of food, and I know she likes it, then all of a sudden when she is done….her head just shakes “NO”…and then when she is getting into something that she shouldn’t have, we say “NO, NO, NO”.  She will sit up and shake her head “NO”…and then 30 seconds later go back to what she as trying to get into.

While we are still doing a lot of baby foods, she is trying more and more table foods….especially when we went on the cruise earlier this month.  She has had all the meats (in her baby food) and loves yogurt, baby gold fish, puffs, and most of her veggies….I think she likes them more than fruit!!  She is starting to show signs of struggling with sleep (just the process of putting her to bed) and I’m hoping that we avoid the major sleep issues we had with her sister.  I am a little more strict with Sam then I was with Shelby in hopes to “teach”  her how to self soothe and be an overall better sleeper.  She is starting to show signs of being a mommy’s girl….not sure if it is a stage, or if it is because she is still nursing or what, but she doesn’t like when I leave the room.

She still overall is a laid back, relaxed baby UNTIIL you tick her off. Then she gets mad. Very mad….we may have a problem on our hands!!
