Samantha's Baptism

Samantha was baptized on this past Sunday at St. Stephens Church. Cale's family is very involved in this church and we were happy that we were able to join many of his other family members by being baptized there. By coincidence, Samantha was baptized on her 4 month birthday...just the same as her big sister Shelby. When Shelby was baptized, she was able to wear the baptism gown that I was baptized in. My mom saved it!! I had plans for Samantha to wear it as well. However, on Friday night, after much prodding from Cale, I decided to play it safe and try it on her....well, Sam is definitely bigger than Shelby was at that age....it looked like a mini dress on her and I couldn't button the top button in back. So, I set out Saturday morning and bought Samantha her own baptism gown....in size 6-9 months!!! She looked beautiful in it and I'm glad she will have something of her own to pass on one day.

The baptism itself went great. Her godparents are Trevor and Tracie! We had family over after for lunch. Everyone was very generous with gifts and we are very thankful for them!!
