Thanksgiving Week in Florida!

Last week, we went to Florida for the week! It was Shelby's 5th roundtrip on an airplane, but first time since she's been mobile. Shelby and I left on Friday with Grandma Linda (Cale & Grandpa Don were already there). She did great on the plane although she didn't sleep. We got to the condo in Venice and fed her and got her to bed! Saturday we hung out most of the day as we prepared for the early morning drive. Sunday we got up and left the condo at 7:30am and arrived at Walt Disney World around 9:30. We did Magic Kingdom the first day and the first thing Shelby saw when we walked in the first thing she saw was Pluto! She went nuts! She started pointing, babbling, and bobbing up and down.

We went on some rides (she was not scared of anything) and ate lunch. We then walked some more and she passed teh Minnie Mouse house and went nuts....this was definitely the highlight of her day!!! She was very excited. She fell asleep in her stroller for an hour and woke up in time for the parade. She loved seeing the characters from afar, but as soon as we got up close, she clung to me.

She was a trooper and stood in line all day and went on a lot of rides. We then went to dinner and had to wait a little while since we were early. Shelby was pretty restless at this point and was running around, climbing on furniture, and basically being a 2 year old. She kept climbing up on this coffee table and her Daddy kept yelling at her to get down. After about 3 times, she grabbed her new Minnie doll, propped it up on the table, and shook her finger at it, saying, "no, no, no"...so I guess she is listening a little!! It was really funny!

The next day was a little tougher, we went to Animal Kingdom and she enjoyed the Safari and seeing the animals, but had a little meltdown after lunch and meeting Minnie Mouse. Grandma & Grandpa took her back to the condo a little early!

All in all, Disney was great!! We really enjoyed it and are very very thankful to Grandpa Don and Grandma Linda!!!

We got back to Venice for a couple of days and we went to the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota!! Shelby loved this!! She was very excited all day and would not stay in her stroller at all!

She loved the pool and pointed to it whenever we were outside. It did warm up and we were able to go swimming about 4 days of the vacation.

We had a layover and a delay on the way home, but Shelby was a champ and was really good!
